The Frames
Genre Science Fiction
Type Novelette
Series
-
Written in early 1970s but only published after its rediscovery.
DESCRIPTION:
This is a delightful science fiction and crime story.
From the introduction: "Parallels between the present story and the Dayworld series are abundant and clear. The ever watchful eyes of Big Brother haunt the citizens of both Farmerian worlds in a future Manhattan where the government uses trendiness as a tool to manipulate and sedate the masses. Even the semi-comic tone of "The Frames"—with its references to Krazy Kat, TV Plutarchs, and the Federal Bureau of Felonious Law Enforcement—is in direct sympathy with the popgut humor of Dayworld."
